Can we really get paid just to walk with the Sweatcoin app?
It seems this app claims this to be true and I want to know more.
I know for a fact that these types of apps really do exist but they usually don’t offer much money.
In fact, most only earn a couple of cents a day, and that’s why I want to find out in this Sweatcoin review what the heck this app is all about and how you can actually make money with it.

Sweatcoin is an app where you get paid to walk.
You get 1 sweatcoins for every 1000 steps.
1 sweatcoin = $0.05 which means you can earn around $0.25 on average per day with this app.
Not astonishing numbers but at least the Sweatcoin app is is legit.
What is Sweatcoin?
Sweatcoin is an app where you can get paid for walking.
This is the process broken down:
1. Download the app
2. Complete the set up
3. Start walking, earn sweatcoins
4. Exchange sweatcoins for rewards
It really is a super simple setup and anyone can download and use the app, but that’s not what I’m here for.
I’m here to discover how much money you can really earn per month with this app.
At the time of writing this article there is a daily cap on the amount of sweatcoins you can earn per day.
However, there are subscriptions available to up the limit of this cap and earn more sweatcoins per day, but more on that in a minute.
How Do You Earn Sweatcoins?
The in-app currency is called Sweatcoins and you earn 1 coin for every 1000 steps.
1 sweatcoin = $0.05
So if your total limit is 5 sweatcoins per day, you can earn $0.25 per day. Or $91.25 per year.
However, this app only tracks your outdoor steps and not indoor steps.
They do this by using your phones GPS location.
Keep in mind that the average American walks 5000 – 7000 steps per day, so if you class yourself as an average American, you will earn between 5 and 7 sweatcoins per day.
Walking is the most simplest way to earn sweatcoins with this app.
Once you complete your profile setup, just step outside and start walking.
You earn 1 sweatcoin for every 1000 steps.
Earn Daily Rewards
Earning sweatcoins with the daily reward is super simple.
Just watch the ad within the app and click “Claim it now”.
This reward earns you 1 sweatcoin per day, which is equivalent to 1000 steps.
Referring friends and family is another way to earn sweatcoins.
You will earn 5 sweatcoins for every person you get to download the app.
This is equivalent to 5000 steps (an entire days work).
In my opinion, the referral program isn’t that exciting as I would rather earn a small percentage of sweatcoins for what my referrals earn.
So we’re finally at the fun part of the review.
You’re probably wondering what the heck you’re going to do with all these sweatcoins you’ve accumulated.
And in this part of the review I’m going to show you.
There are 2 types of rewards to choose from.
One is called daily offers and the other is marathon offers.
Basically, daily offers is the ones that are easy to get, they don’t require much sweatcoins.
On the other hand, marathon offers require more time and energy to get.
Daily offers include:
- Restaurant vouchers
- Holiday vouchers
- And more
Marathon offers include:
- iPhones (20,000 sweatcoins)
- $1000 PayPal cash (20,000 sweatcoins)
- Various different technology
- and more
One thing I find interesting is that you can combine your sweatcoins with other people!
I think this is amazing if you can to recruit a whole lot of people in your group.
If you and your friends combine your sweatcoins, you’ll be able to cash out the $1000 much quicker.
If you do it by yourself it’s going to take years. Hence the name; marathon.
Remember how I said you can increase the amount of sweatcoins you can earn per day?
Well you can do that with a subscription.
These do not cost real money, they cost sweatcoins.
When you first download the app and complete setup, you will automatically be added to the Mover Subscription.
This subscription is free and allows users to earn up to 5 sweatcoins per day.
Other subscriptions are also available to increase the sweatcoin limit.
Shaker (costs 4.75 sweatcoins per month) – Earn up to 10 sweatcoins per day (around 10,000 steps)
Quaker (costs 20 sweatcoins per month) – Earn up to 15 sweatcoins per day (around 15,000 steps)
Breaker (costs 30 sweatcoins per month) – Earn up to 20 sweatcoins per day (around 20,000 steps)
However, it’s not just a matter of going for the highest subscription, as you might be spending more for increasing your limit without actually earning those coins back.
So figure out your average steps per day and purchase the subscription that best suits you and your lifestyle.
If it’s under 10,000 steps, stay with the free subscription and you’ll earn more sweatcoins since you’re not spending any.
So How Much Money Can You Really Make Per Day?
Since 1 sweatcoin = $0.05, we can calculate how much we can earn from this app per day.
Lets say you purchase the Breaker subscription.
That gives you a limit of 20,000 steps per day, which is $1 a day.
Include the sweatcoin daily sweatcoin reward ($1.5 per month) That equals $31.5 per month.
However, we have to deduct the 30 sweatcoins it costs to purchase that subscription each month.
This puts the total earnings down to $30 per month if you manage to walk the maximum amount of steps allowed.
Of course you may earn more if you refer friends or combine your sweatcoins with other people, but the total amount that you can earn by yourself is $30 per month.
Is that a lot?
That is $1 per day. For an app that is pretty good money.
However, what are the chances of you completing 20,000 steps a day (not including indoors)? I’ll let you answer that question.
Is it a Scam or Do They Pay?
The good news is that Sweatcoin is not a scam and they are a legit app who have proven time and time again that they pay their members.
They have never scammed members and it doesn’t appear that they’ll turn into a scam in the future either.
This app is 100% legit and those who take advantage can earn a pretty passive income with it.
Do I Recommend Sweatcoin?
I’m not a huge fan of make money apps.
Sure it’s free money that you can make with things you’re doing everyday anyway.
But the biggest con is that it does not track your inside steps, which is a huge shame because most people get their daily steps from their job.
So if you’re a factory worker, a waiter, or anything that requires lots of steps, this could be an amazing app for you.
However sadly, that is not the case since it only tracks outside steps!
I mean, I work from home so I don’t go outside much anyway.
But if your job requires you to be outside most of the day, this could be a great app for you that can earn you additional income.
So do I recommend this app?
If your lifestyle allows for it then yes, this app is for you.
But if you’re inside most of the day, you won’t make much money with Sweatcoin and for you it’s not recommended.
What I Recommend
Making money is hard and the main reason people use make money apps is because they want to make money.
I mean, there’s no other reason.
And if you’re like me, you want more than 25 cents a day.
I only recommend things that have a huge impact on other peoples lives because making pennies a day is not going to do a lot to someones financial troubles.
So what do I recommend?
I work from home doing what I love, and I don’t need to step out the front door to make 25 cents.
I make all my money from the comfort of my own couch.
Yes literally, I am writing this article as I lay on my sofa.
Well enough of my rambling. I create blogs and make money via affiliate marketing.
I love it because it earns me more money than any of my jobs and I can live life on my own terms.
Well that concludes my Sweatcoin review and I hope you found everything you were looking for!
