Color Street: Scam or Legit MLM? [Review]

Multi-Level Marketing companies aren’t my favorite way to make money online. But nevertheless, they do work and big money can be made if you do it properly.

Color Street Logo

It’s just that a few of the bad apples ruin it for the rest, which is why I’m giving Color Street the benefit of the doubt.

In this Color Street review, I will be finding out the products they are offering and diving deep into the compensation plan to see how reliable they are.

What Is Color Street?

Color Street is brand that sells nail polish strips.

Color Street was founded by a man named Fa Park.

He first launched nail strips in Europe in 2007 and has grown significantly since then.

They specialize in polish strips and that’s all they sell, making them a force to be reckoned with in the nail polish industry.

Other nail polish strips have made their way into the industry, however, those are just printed patterns on paper and not actually real nail polish like Color Street.

They come out with new shades, colors and patterns monthly, which is good to see as it makes them a brand that’ll last a long time.

They also offer a compensation plan to allow their stylists to earn money and create a lucrative online business, but I’ll talk more about that soon.

Lets dive into the product.

The Products

These polish strips are the quickest and cheapest manicure you will ever come across.

They are a game changer when it comes to the nail polish world, as there are so many available and can be applied in an instant.

The polish come in many different colors and styles. They offer glitter, nail art and even French tips.

Basically, they are stickers that you apply to your finger nails.

They are dry to touch so no heat or special tools are required.

They last for weeks at a time which is something I find interesting considering they are only stickers that take 10 minutes to apply.

One thing I would like to mention is that you can cut them into custom shapes and personalize them as much as you want.

The Benefits of Nail Polish Strips

Easy to apply

These nail polish strips from Color Street literally take 10 minutes to apply as there are no special tools required.

Just peel and stick!

If you’re trying to look sharp as fast as possible, your nails will make you stand out and look the part without going out and getting a full-blown manicure.

Wide Range of Colors and Designs

There are currently hundreds of different colors and designs on the official website.

And the best part is that there are more being released every month so you’ll never run out.

Look Just as Good as a Mani

That might sound like a bit of a stretch but it is not.

These polish strips ACTUALLY have real nail polish on them unlike other nail polish stickers.

They look amazing and all your girlfriends will be asking where they can get some of their own.

Affordable

$11-$14 is all you’ll be paying for a set of 16.

This is highly affordable considering you’ll be paying this + more at a real shop.

No Appointment Needed

You can apply them yourself wherever you are, no matter what you’re doing.

This is great if you’re a busy mom on-the-go or a housewife that’s out and about and can hardly catch a break.

This is an awesome benefit because you’re getting something just as good as a manicure without spending much time on it.

Price & Purchase Details

The price for a set is $11-$14, and you get 16 strips in one set.

They offer a couple of deals worth mentioning if you’re looking to save money in the long haul.

They are ‘buy 3 get 1 free’ for the glitter, nail art and solid colors.

And for a French Manicure, buy 1 get 1 free.

These are good deals if you’re an avid purchaser of Color Street nails and will save you a lot of money in the long run.

The Compensation Plan

The compensation plan is what made me want to do this review today.

Because I am a person that searches for additional ways to make money online, the compensation plan attracted me to learn more.

Here’s what I found:

There are 3 phases.

  • Marketing Phase – Compensates you on your personal sales and rewards you with bonuses when you help others do the same.
  • Leadership Phase – Pays bonuses on the sales of your team. When you build up your team and help them make more sales, you make more money.
  • Executive Phase – This is even bigger than the leadership phase. This phase offers even more rewards when you mentor other emerging leaders.

You first start at Marketing Phase and move up with the more sales you make and experience you gain in the sales world.

One thing I like about the compensation plan is that you’re paid 25-35% commissions on all your sales (paid weekly) and then even more commissions that are paid monthly.

How to Join the Compensation Plan

To join the compensation plan you will need pay the entry fee and choose your stylist, which is basically your upline.

If you don’t have a stylist or don’t know any, you can put any name and choose your own or simply click on “choose a stylist near me”.

You will need to pay the Stylist Starter Kit which is $129 + tax and shipping before finally setting foot in the door.

Once you’re in, you can begin selling the products or the compensation plan itself and move up the ranks.

What I like About Color Street

I like the fact that their products are legit and the owner is a real person who actually believes in what he is selling.

This makes him stand out from other MLM companies who sell absolutely garbage products that are only designed to disguise their pyramid scheme.

They are growing every single day, they are unique to the beauty industry and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.

I also like that the products are of high quality and there’s a great business opportunity here if you’re willing to learn.

What I Don’t Like About Color Street

I am not a fan of paying an entry fee to join the compensation plan.

Other businesses offer free entry which is something Color Street should adopt considering they’re leaving great salesman out the door! (no pun intended)

Is Color Street a Scam?

Color Street is surprisingly a good MLM company who believe in the products they’re selling.

They are growing every month and clearly the main focus is on selling the products and not the compensation plan.

This is a breath of fresh air as most MLM companies just want to take your money and give you false hope that you’re going to be rich in the next few months.

Color Street doesn’t do this.

They don’t hype anyone up, they provide the facts and let you make your own decision.

I love this about them.

For all the reasons mentioned above, and the fact that Color Street has your best interest at heart, they are definitely not a scam.

They are a legit MLM company with legit products and only want the best for their customers.

A Way to Make Money That’s NOT an MLM?

It seems every man and his dog are joining MLM programs these days.

But the fact of the matter is; no one is making money with them. I know because those same people are promoting different MLM programs every other month.

Fortunately there are other ways of earning money that does not require recruiting or selling.

I write product reviews on my blog for sites like Amazon and earn commissions.

I find it so much better because I don’t need to pester my friends and family on social media.

Here’s the program I use

Well thanks for reading my Color Street review. I hope you have a great day!

Don’t forget to leave a comment or question in the comments below.

Cheers.

  1. I always say it that I’m not a lover of MLM related businesses and I can’t invest my hard earned money or time into it. I really like this review about Color Street, it shows that the company is a bit nice but as you’ve said, free entry attracts more hands on deck, not everybody will want to pay for what he’s not so sure of, I can say we don’t have more of risk takers again. I don’t have issues with Color street but MLM companies can’t make you enough or any money. Thanks for sharing this article.

    1. Not everyone wants to pay what they’re unsure of, correct, but that’s why they have recruiters to entice them into paying the fee and joining. This is their upline and now it’s their turn to go out and build up a team, with the help of their upline of course because if they do well, they earn money too. That’s how you climb the ladder.

I disagree that MLMs can’t make you money, they can make you a 6-figure income if you do it right and commit yourself.

But I also agree that there are much better ways at chasing the money than committing yourself to an MLM that may not be here in the next 5 years which is why you need to find a legit company that’s going to last.

Will Color Street last? Fortunately all signs point to yes.

Otherwise you can create your own business and be your own boss 🙂 that way nothing can be taken from you.

  2. Thank you for writing Color Street review, it is helpful for people who are looking to make money at MLM or multi level marketing. Nail polish strips founder by a man, well that got my attention!  They have been in business a long time 12 years that’s a good sign, they are nail polish strips specialists so they have expertise, their products seem to be of high quality at an affordable price, easy to apply with a big range of colours. The compensation plan is clearly laid out for people who want to get involved but they have to pay the entrance fee of $129 plus tax. Overall it seems like a legit way to make money selling a very much in demand product, thanks for writing this.

    1. That got me wanting to learn more too, the fact that it was founded by a man and has become hugely successful with it.

It just goes to show that you can become successful with literally any niche if there’s a market for it.

I say great job to Fa Park for his awesome work in he beauty industry.

  3. Thanks for taking your precious time to engage in this research work. I have been longing to see a review about this platform to really know a lot about them and there deals. There products are really good because I have  come across them before now. The colors are on point which made me wanted to know more. Now I know that all MLM business are not just reliable. The fact that they pay for the compensation plan is quite discouraging also. Thanks for giving this educative review.

    1. A lot of MLM programs want you to pay before you can join the compensation plan but I say F that.

If you really want to get into MLM, go for the free ones, that way people are more inclined to join under you and start taking action.

  4. MLMs can truly make you damn good money but I’ve not found success with any of them that I joined which makes me conclude that it’s not for me. However. I’ve personally met people who’re making it in the industry so it’s definitely not for everyone. Does colour Street require monthly autoship? Apart from paying before you can become a promoter, autoship has been one of my banes in this industry.

People might have reasons to defend it but it’s sometimes problematic and it’s kind of strangling one to cough up money by force in order to earn commissions. Thanks for the info. It looks like the other option you’re offering will be helpful to me.

    1. I have never had success with MLMs either because I haven’t even tried. Personally I don’t want to work under or for anyone else. I love being my own boss and having my own business, that way it can’t be shut down and nothing can be taken from me.

  5. Hi Brandon,

Between MLM and Affiliate programs, I tend to go for Affiliate programs considering my introvert personality. For the starter kit costs USD$129 + TAX + shipping cost is higher than my expectation for a beginner like me. I might skip this one and go for the other choices in your blog. Just in case I change my mind in the near future, is color street also available for a male and it would be great that you could help answer this. 🙂

    1. Oh yes definitely. I love affiliate marketing because you can do everything online, there’s no going out and talking to people, spending half a day meeting people only to be told no over and over again.

You can spend all those hours writing content for your website and actually earning commissions. Affiliate marketing is the best thing that ever hit the internet.

Sure Color Street is available for males. In fact it is founded by a male, it just means you’re going to be a male selling nail polish strips. Good luck with that, lol.

  6. I feel that I have seen nail polish strips but not sure if it is from Color Street. How much do you have to spend per month to maintain your membership? Also, is there any annual fee? I have been with a couple of MLMs through my lifetime and these factors need to be considered. At least this is a good company and there is definitely a lot of money to be made in this beauty industry.

    1. Hello Nuttanee.

You would have definitely seen nail polish strips before, but a lot of them are low quality and not REAL nail polish like the ones from Color Street.

No, there is no annual fee and no monthly membership.

You earn commissions when someone purchasers the entry kit which is $129 plus tax and shipping.

Then it’s a matter of selling the entry kit to others and building up your downline, where you’ll help others sell the same kit and everyone earns commissions.

Usually this is a bad thing, however, I’ve found that the main focus is on selling the nail polish strips which makes Color Street a great business opportunity if you have the audience for it.
