Is My Freelance Paycheck a Scam or Easy 3k Per Month?

Have you just heard about My Freelance Paycheck and wondered if it was a scam or legit business opportunity?

I am no stranger to the internet marketing world my friend as I do this for a living, so these types of systems are nothing new to me.

But one thing that really intrigued me was freelance writing, as I could never seem to make a lot of money with it hence why I steered towards creating passive income flows instead of freelancing.

So I’m really interested to know whether you can actually make a whole lot of money like Laura Pennington claims on her “about me” page over at

Will you really make 3k per month with this system? Lets find out!

About My Freelance Paycheck

Who Created this System

Taking a look at the official website, Laura Pennington has created My Freelance Paycheck.

She was working 16 hours per day as a teacher and making barely any money to live or spend time with her family, so she started doing freelance writing and found success with it.

She claims she does freelance writing for a living and makes a lot of money doing it, and the exact reason she decided to help others.

Laura now makes thousands of dollars per month.

When did it Launch

The domain name was created on the 9th of June, 2017 and all reviews come out early 2018, meaning My Freelance Paycheck launched at least late 2017.

Here are the traffic stats:

55% is direct traffic, 20% is referral and 9% is from emails.

A small percentage comes from social media, search engines and display advertising.

Why did they Create it?

Laura Pennington was sick and tired of working 16 hour days as a teacher and not having enough time to spend with her family and kids.

She was burnt out all the time but chose to do something about her situation, thus finding freelance writing and creating a system so others can reach success just as she has.

Their Claims

Laura claims that:

  • Regular people like you and I can make 1, 2 or even 3k per month
  • You get money by typing words into a computer, and whatever money you earn is totally up to you
  • Anyone can do it and it allows regular people to leave their normal job to spend more time with their family

These are some pretty ridiculous claims if you ask me, but whether or not this lady actually lives up to them is unknown.

Lets quickly dive deep and see what we can find!

So What Exactly is My Freelance Paycheck

Essentially, it is a system designed to show you how to make money online by doing freelance writing gigs.

Freelance writing for those who don’t know, is all about writing content for someone and they pay you money in return for how much words you do.

For example: You might earn $10 for doing 1000 words, or if you’re more experienced and professional you can gain around $50 for 2000 words.

It all depends on your work ethic, what gigs you are applying for, how much work you’re willing to put in and how good a reputation you have.

Your reputation within the freelance writing community will get better overtime, as long as you are providing high quality content every time, of course.

So what do you get?

  • A 156 page e-book
  • An audio version for that e-book
  • 23 videos showing you where to apply, how to apply and what to avoid
  • Templates for your clients just to speed the process up of landing gigs
  • A book with tips from the experts in the freelance writing industry

The Affiliate Program

If you are simply not interested in writing content for people but still want to make money with MFP, you can become an affiliate and earn 75% commissions for each sale.

The average $$ per sale is $118, meaning if you sell to 10 people, commissions will be an average of $118 EACH.

To become an affiliate you have to sign up with Clickbank to promote the product.

However, just because you earn high commissions that does not mean it will be easy to get people to buy.

Highly targeted traffic is needed when it comes to selling this type of product.

Can You Really Make Money?

Making money by doing freelance writing is real and a lot of people are definitely making money using this method.

So I have no doubts that people can implement the steps taught in My Freelance Paycheck and make money.

Yes, people can make up to 3k per month doing freelance writing but don’t expect it to be super easy like Laura makes it out to be!

You will have to build up a portfolio and a good reputation which can take months and years before you earn money like the top dogs.

That is the reality of making money via this method simply because there is just so much competition in this industry.

It will not be easy, you will want to quit many times but if you can break through the negative thinking and tired days you can start building a real portfolio and people will want to hire you around the clock!

Any Red Flags?

There are definitely some things Laura says that’s a bit over the top.

For example: she says literally anyone can do this and start making up to 3k per month.

This is not the case my friend because as I said above, freelance writing takes a lot of work and dedication.

She also claims she has a “secret” which is also a red flag because writing for a living is no big secret at all, as THOUSANDS of people have been doing it for years.

She just keeps saying “secret” and it gets people hyped up to join.

Although I wouldn’t be surprised if the testimonials are fake too, as the owner could be lying about them just to push you along with the sale.

Does it Cost to Join?

Yes, My Freelance Paycheck has a price of $47 and can be accessed from their official website.

This includes a 60 day money back guarantee.

There is no free trial and no downsell, so you will need to pay the full price before gaining access.

Pros and Cons

  • A lot of tricks from the experts to help you get ahead of everyone else
  • Can make good money

  • It is not passive income so you will have to constantly put in the work to make the money. If you stop working, so does your earnings
  • There is no free trial
  • Requires a lot of time to build up a solid reputation
  • The sales page is a little misleading

Is My Freelance Paycheck a Scam?

After researching this system left, right and center, I’ve come to the conclusion that it is not a scam and you can actually make money if you implement the step-by-step training.

The entire sales page might be a little hyped and misleading but the fact is, there’s great training to be found in this system and if you’re willing to put in the hard work, you can definitely make money.

There will always be a need for freelance writers so if you decide to get in this industry you will have a sustainable income source for years to come.

What I Recommend

One thing I don’t like about My Freelance Paycheck is the fact that it’s active income.

This means you make money ONLY when you do the work, whereas I would much prefer passive income.

Passive income is doing the work now but getting paid later…over and over again…for many years to come.

That is the difference and the reason why I recommend passive income.

A snowball effect happens but with freelance writing there is absolutely no snowball effect and you don’t even make money while you sleep.

You make money when your article is accepted.

Stuff that!

I recommend creating your own website, getting it ranked in the search engines and making money around the clock seeing as the internet never sleeps!

This system is free and will teach you everything you need to know.

Can’t wait to see you on the other side 😀
