Toluna Surveys Review – They Don’t Pay and They Avoid Your Emails

Survey sites are incredibly popular in this day and age.

Literally anyone can sign up and begin making money in the first 30 minutes of signing up.

However, that doesn’t mean it’s going to allow you to quit your job because it certainly will not as I prove in this article.

Sure, you can make some type of income but is it worth it?

Is Toluna one of those sites that’s worth your precious time or are you better off trying something different.

That’s what I hope to help you with in this Toluna review.

Summary:

I like to give systems the benefit of the doubt, but I have no doubt in my mind that Toluna are scamming their members as much as they can.

You’re suppose to be getting paid for completing surveys, but in reality you’re completing surveys and not getting paid your earnings even when you reach minimum withdrawal amount.

Go here for the greatest alternative I have to offer!

Pros

  • There is none

Cons

  • They don’t pay their members. Hundreds of people have reported that they don’t get paid
  • They lie about their identity and use pen names instead of real names. This allows them to continue scamming with newer systems they create
  • It is a high-risk opportunity considering most people don’t get paid
  • Poor customer service. They’ll ignore your emails as much as possible
  • They don’t care about their members and are only out to get your opinion without paying you a dime

Quick Look

Name: Toluna

Website: www.toluna.com

The Claims

Upon looking at their website they claim you can influence your world by sharing your opinion and your voice.

By sharing your opinion you can inspire others. Toluna will share your ideas to the right people which is how you get rewards.

They also claim that they work with some of the largest brands whereby you can be rewarded instantly, as soon as you offer your opinion.

About Toluna

What’s weird is that there wasn’t much information about the owners on the official Toluna website.

On their about page they only talk about how their system works.

There’s no information about their team at all and when they launched.

When I click on the company link I am taken to another website called www.toluna-group.com.

This is where they show all of their team members, and it appears that Frédéric-Charles Petit is the chief executive and founder.

They have a total of 18 team members who work behind the scenes to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

According to whois report, they first launched in 1999 and have clearly stood the test of time.

What is Toluna?

Toluna provides consumer insights and connects consumers to large companies in real-time so they get the opinion of the people as soon as possible.

This allows the companies to make changes as they see fit.

The information they ask for is to connect you with the appropriate surveys that match you and your lifestyle correctly so you can give accurate information.

Toluna claim they will never share your personal information for promotion or targeting purposes.

The surveys you will be filling out were created by market research agencies and were specifically created to gain your opinion, your voice, so that big companies can create better products for the people of the world.

The Process/How To Make Money

When you sign up you will have to fill out a few basic questions.

Once this is complete you will get an email which you have to confirm first.

Once confirmed, you can begin completing surveys and earning money for your efforts.

When you choose a survey you will have to answer some basic questions just to make sure you qualify for the survey.

Sometimes there are a lot of questions and other times there’s only a few.

If you don’t qualify, you will be told you do not qualify and you’ll have to find another one.

Most of the surveys take around 15-20 minutes to complete as claimed by Toluna themselves.

You can also choose to receive email alerts so the surveys that come available will be sent to your email address.

You don’t even have to be on the website looking and waiting for surveys which is an effective system a lot of survey sites are implementing these days.

Hidden Gem

Toluna say on their website – and I’m guessing a lot of people don’t know this if you don’t read the fine print – more surveys become available to you if you fill out your profile thoroughly.

This allows them to get an idea of the person you are and provide you with more accurate surveys, which is the goal since targeted traffic is highly valuable.

The Rewards System

30,000 points = $10; the minimum payment threshold

Minimum threshold goes to $30 if you withdrawal via PayPal.

Ways to earn:

Surveys = 15 – 50,000 points

Sponsored Polls = 15 points

Refer a Friend = 500 points per referral

What I like is that Toluna offers are large range of rewards for completing surveys.

Each survey you complete will earn you points and that is the currency for this website.

The more points you earn the greater rewards you can apply for.

And of course the longer and more complicated a survey takes to complete, the more points you earn.

Another way to earn points is to participate in polls which members of the community create and all you do is give your answer.

But more on that in a second.

They offer a wide range of gift cards for your favorite online stores like Amazon, iTunes, Best Buy, Starbucks, Walmart, Target, and much more.

The Discussion Forum

They offer a discussion forum where you can jump in and talk to the community of Toluna.

It is more like a chat room to discuss anything that comes to mind, or even help regarding the website when you need it.

But the reason it was created was so the community could come together, talk and be a real online community.

Other things offered at the discussion board are polls, a battle to compare two things and a Thumb It feature which members simply give a thumbs up or thumbs down for the one they prefer.

Price & Sign Up Details

There is no cost to join Toluna, all you need is a valid email address and to fill out a few basic questions about yourself.

Once that is done you can start completing surveys, polls or referring friends and receiving points.

Is Toluna a Scam?

Toluna is the biggest survey scam site I’ve reviewed to date!

There’s a very good reason why their “team” is discreet and they don’t show their face on the official website anywhere, because they aren’t running a legit business and they refuse to pay their members!

They give you lots of surveys when you first join just to get your points up quickly and make you excited because you feel like you’re making lots of money fast, and then they start performing shady tactics.

They’ll give you longer surveys that don’t pay much, and if you’re close to minimum payout they’ll kick you out so they don’t have to pay you for your work.

It seems they are actively kicking people out of surveys that are getting close to minimum payout, and if they do manage to receive more than 30,000 points, they don’t pay at all!

They ignore all emails, they never pay and you’ll only be wasting your time because absolutely NO ONE is getting paid with Toluna.

My choice was an easy one, Toluna is the greatest survey scam on the internet and I have no idea how they’ve lasted this long without running into legal trouble.

What I Recommend

I never thought a survey site could become such a big scam like this one, but as always the internet surprises me.

It just goes to show that you can’t rely on anyone other than yourself to make things happen and make a consistent income online.

That’s why when I found Wealthy Affiliate I never looked back.

That is my number 1 recommendation because they teach you how to create a real online business for no cost whatsoever.

I make 4 figures per month and do this full-time and have been doing this for 2 and a half years now.

And I promise you if you want to live life on your own terms, you need to create a solid online business that cannot be taken away from you like these survey sites and other companies who promise you rags to riches only to be shutdown when recruitment dies down.

Well this one is much different and you need to at least try out the free trial to see if you like it.

That concludes this Toluna review and I hope you have a marvelous day!
